I got in contact with John up at Wilshire and set up a gun fit for my dad, I also learned quite a bit myself during the lesson. He created a comfortable and non-intimidating environment which made for a great learning experience. He took someone like my dad who was fairly new to gun safety, pistols, and shooting and made huge progress in just 90 minutes.
